Update on 12-2-2010: The XIP of the rom image is upgraded from XPR to LZX compression ported from Mio A701/Hermes.

This is the new WWE WM6.5 CE OS 5.2.28005 Build 28005.5.3.0 Mobile Vista 6.50 SeaDragon Rom image.

It is developed in a friend's Herarld-P4350 (HER100), thnx for giving me for a while her precious device for cooking.

Again as for previous devices Mio-A701 and HTC-TyTN-Hermes the major tasks were:

- XIP porting.

- SYS porting.

- default.hv and user.hv development, initflashfiles.dat, packages.sof as well as provxml modifications.

The XIP is from 6.5 official version with XPR compression, LZX compression is not yet implemented.

The SYS image is based on an Official WM6.5 CE OS 5.2.28005 ( Build 28005 AKU 5.3.0 ).

The rom is UC ready includes many applications and has Bluetooth wireless stereo quality as in TyTN II.

YouTube is provided as a cab due to RAM needed.

Important note: You MUST have IPL and SPL at least 4.xxxx, as in my case are IPL 4.17.0001 and SPL 4.17.0000.

The rom does not include IPL, SPL, radio and Extended Rom.

If you have an SDConfig.txt file in your storage card this rom will execute it, so take care.

[sixe=150]C. Instructions to successfully flash the rom image[/size]


Here bellow are the Instructions to successfully flash it.

Download and unzip the file: RUU_Herald_WWE_WM6.5.28005.MobileVista6.50SeaDragon_by_ansar.zip

and in the created directory you will have the following:

1. The folder: LOADER

2. The folder: RAPI

3. The folder: RUU

4. The folder: VistalibWWE28005MVSD6_50

5. The executable file: herald-uspl.exe and

6. The text files: readme.txt and the readme_by_ansar.txt

Power on your device, connect it with the usb cable to your PC or Laptop and ensure that activesync is completed.

Double click on the executable file herald-uspl.exe and follow the instructions.

The RUUsigned.nbh rom image that is inside the RUU folder will be flashed and your device will finally boot.
